So the non-AI reality finales roll in like so much chemical waste on an L.A. beach...
For Love or Money: He went for love! She went for money! What a shocker! NOT. Considering how incredibly stoo-pid the NBC bachelor was, the only shock was that Girl #2 was planning to forego the million if he picked her. Poor young naive Paige. Here's hoping she gets a clue. What WAS good about the show is that Erin (our "winner") has chosen to forego her million for the chance to win TWO million by being the bachelorette in For Love or Money 2 which starts on NBC NEXT WEEK. They didn't waste any time, did they? This one should be much better because Erin is no moron and this time, it's the men who are the lovestruck dolts. Aaah, TV is good brain food, ain't it?
ANTM: Last week, my prayers were answered as crazy Jesus freak Robyn was booted from the show after giving an impassioned speech about why she refused to do a simulated nude photo shoot, tears in her eyes, fist raised a la Scarlett O'Hara-Never-Be-Hungry-Again. Her body is her temple, Jesus is within her, she's a lady, blah, blah, blah. She even quoted her beloved grandmother. Trouble was, Tyra saw Robyn shake her ta-tas at Tyra's makeup artist earlier that same week. Mmmm, wonder what Grandma would think about THAT. Hee. With three girls left, the contest is clearly coming down to a walk-off between Elyse and Adrianne. My money is on Elyse. Although, you never know...Adrianne has that hooker with a heart of gold quality that makes her so Pretty Woman. Tonight's episode should be GOOD!
I haven't much to say about Fame or AIJuniors. People perform, get eliminated (or in the case of the kinder, gentler AIJuniors, win a spot in the group) and frankly, I don't much care. Both shows are fine but neither show has the heart of the original AI and, while I like Harlemm on Fame, what do I care if he wins?
A lot of people are atwitter about Big Brother but frankly, I can't stand that show and will not be watching.
In Idol news: Ruben and Clay's album releases have both been post-poned until September. Why? No one will say.
